ABOUT

I grew up on the north shore of Boston in Andover, MA. My first love wasn’t cars, it was boats. My family had a small boat on the Annisquam river during the summer and I would take pictures of the speedboats. Those were my superheroes, Lights Out, Black Jack, Tangled Web, Ferris Wheel, The Bookie. These experiences on the river shaped my love of transportation design.

After high school I moved to California (2008) to live with my aunt and uncle while I attended art center at night. These night classes are where I first learned about automotive design. In 2011 I was accepted into art center’s full time day program. One thing united us all, our love of cars and our admiration of design.

While at Art Center (2014) I got an internship at Mercedes-Benz in Carlsbad, CA. I worked as an Alias Modeler/Designer Hybrid on the Garia Golf cart and Tokyo Bullet show car. After graduation (2016) I was hired at FCA in Auburn Hills, MI to work as a Modeler/Designer. I became efficient at modeling in alias and had the ability to quickly mature sketches and design themes into viable models. In 2018 I moved to work at Ford in Dearborn, MI in a physical clay modeler role, but after a year transitioned back into an Alias Modeler position.

I would move to Volvo Trucks in North Carolina in the fall of 2019 but by the spring of 2023 I decided I missed my family and needed to fill the urge to travel and live my life. I quit Volvo trucks moved back to Boston and planned a year of travel for 2024. It was eye opening getting to see parts of the world I had never seen before. While making new friends in Buenos Aires I felt the closest I ever had to college in 8 years.

During the fall of 2024 I’ve been taking a full inventory on what I’m good at, what I’ve done and where I want my career to go. I know Boston isn’t the center of the car design world so there’s going to need to be a shift if I choose to re-enter corporate. I’m crafting my resume, portfolio and cover letters to show that I’m capable of adapting and exceling in new roles. I think my skills and experience can translate beyond the car design industry. I’m excited to see where a new company thinks I can fit in and where I can be given an opportunity to prove my value in a new role.
